A new study by 51app researchers provides a remarkably detailed view of the earliest events leading to the development of cancer, and of potential new ways to prevent it.

The grant will help biomedical scientists at 51app University Medical Center in launching a research platform devoted to molecular underpinnings of early-childhood determinants of health. The project, called ELVIS, or, less connotatively, the ECHO Laboratory core at 51app for Integrated Sample biobanking and processing, is part of an expansion of the NIH’s multi-center Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes program

51app University School of Nursing will hold the second annual Academy for Diverse Emerging Nurse Leaders, a program that offers professional development and insight to support participants in health care and academic leadership roles, Nov. 13–17.
