INCOMING INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MOVE-IN – Wednesday, Aug. 14Ìý
Incoming international student move-in is Ìý
All incoming first-year international students are required to participate in International Student Orientation which begins on Thursday, Aug. 15. U.S. citizens living abroad who opt to participate in International Student Orientation are permitted to move in on Wednesday, Aug. 14.Ìý
International Student Orientation is optional for incoming international transfer students. Students who do not sign up to participate should plan to move in during scheduled transfer student move-in on Friday, Aug. 16.Ìý
Students have been provided with specific move-in information with their room assignment information from housing@vanderbilt.edu.ÌýÌýÌý
International student move-in times will range from 8 a.m. until midnight at The Ingram Commons Center.Ìý
Students should activate their Mobile Commodore Card prior to arriving on campus, because it is needed to access the residence halls. Instructions for activation are available .Ìý
INCOMING TRANSFER STUDENT MOVE-IN – Friday, Aug. 16Ìý
Transfer student move-in is ÌýÌý
Students have been provided with a specific afternoon move-in time with their room assignment information. Move-in times will range from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and students should report to the check-in location at their specific move-in time. Ìý
Students should activate their Mobile Commodore Card prior to arriving on campus, because it is needed to access the residence halls. Instructions for activation are available .Ìý

FIRST-YEAR STUDENT MOVE-IN – Saturday, Aug. 17Ìý
First-year student move-in is Ìý
Students have been provided their room assignment information and a specific move-in time between 7 a.m. and noon via email. In addition, first-year students received a packet of materials in the mail in early August which includes items for move-in: a designated house rearview mirror hangtag, a key release card and a star sticker (used if you plan to arrive via rideshare, taxi or shuttle). Students should bring these items with them; if students do not have their hangtag and key release card, staff will provide them in the staging areas upon arrival.  Ìý
To provide a positive and efficient move-in experience, Housing and Residential Experience carefully manages the process; it is extremely important to follow the directions outlined below. You should NOT report directly to your assigned house. As you arrive to The Ingram Commons, all vehicles will be directed to their designated Staging Areas where room keys are distributed, and vehicles are held until escorted to the houses for unloading.Ìý
- Please report to your Staging Area at least 15 minutes prior to your assigned move-in time.Ìý
- All Staging Areas are accessed from Edgehill Avenue.Ìý
- As you approach The Ingram Commons, signs will be displayed and staff will be available to direct you to the proper location; please be sure to follow the posted signs rather than GPS directions as you approach campus. Ìý
- Note: If you are arriving to campus via 31st Ave. S./Blakemore Ave./Wedgewood Ave., there is NO access to the staging areas from 18th Ave. S.; all vehicles arriving from this direction should approach the staging areas from 16th Ave. S.Ìý

- Once at the Staging Area, you will be issued your assigned room key.ÌýÌý
- Be sure to have your completed key release card with you. If you forget your card, one can be provided in the Staging Area. Ìý
- Do NOT leave your Staging Area without your room key.Ìý
- After receiving your room key, you will be escorted to your house to unload your vehicle.ÌýÌý
- Please work in collaboration with the student volunteer Move Crew to unload your vehicle as quickly and safely as possible. It is extremely important that the driver remains with the vehicle.Ìý
- If you are arriving to the staging area by rideshare, taxi or shuttle, please be sure to place the star sticker mailed in your housing packet over the driver information on your hangtag. Ìý
- Once your vehicle is unloaded, the driver will be directed to long-term parking in Terrace Place Garage. Ìý
- A shuttle will be available to provide transport from the garage back to The Ingram Commons.Ìý

CONTINUING UPPER-DIVISION STUDENTS – Sunday, Aug. 18Ìý
Upper-division residence halls and Greek houses .ÌýÌý
All unloading zones have a 30-minute limit. Students must move their vehicles to designated student parking immediately after unloading. Students are encouraged to for traffic patterns and unloading areas. Carts are available for moving assistance and should be returned immediately after use. ÌýÌý
- Residence Hall Residents: Upon arrival to campus, please report to your designated area front desk to check in and pick up your room key. All students are required to pick up their room key. Area desk locations can be found Ìý
- Greek House Residents: To obtain your room code, please contact Greek Life upon arrival with your room number at 615-322-2048. Students arriving after close of business should contact Kristin Torrey, director of Greek Life, before arriving to make arrangements.ÌýÌý
- If you plan to arrive to campus after Wednesday, Aug. 21, please email Housing and provide your anticipated arrival date.Ìý
